Service Hours due Now
Students, don’t forget to enter all your completed service hours into the Mobile Serve app. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cichon or Mrs. Kay. Hours are due by April 30 for Seniors, and due by May 20 for Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen.
Volunteer Opportunity with the Western Museum of Mining & Industry
St. Mary's has entered a new Letter of Agreement with the Western Mining Museum & Industry. The purpose is to promote St. Mary's, to raise funds for various school programs, and to provide parents and students with volunteer hour opportunities. Volunteer dates coming up are May 14, May 19, May 21, May 22, and May 26. The shifts are three hours long, the work is light, and training will be provided. Earn Service Hours Helping Out Our Sports Teams
–Our Pirate baseball team takes on Manitou at UC Health Field (home of the Vibes) on Tuesday, May 3. Volunteers are needed to help take tickets at the gate. Shifts are one hour each and start at 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm, and 5:30 pm. To sign up for a shift and earn service hours, please contact Mrs. Ghigleri at tomghigleri@gmail.com or 719.650.5388 (text/call).
–The lacrosse team is looking for help selling concessions during their games. Contact the coach at christroy85@gmail.com for more information.
Join Us for Pirate Night on May 11
New families and current families are invited to join us on Wednesday, May 11, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the courtyard for an end of the year celebration! Meet our new faculty. Talk with the coaches and players and sign up for sports for the 2022-23 school year. We have added a couple more Art class options and some English elective classes. Look over our new courses. And enjoy food from a food truck!
Fr. Nathan Cromly Visit Follow Up
We were blessed to have Fr. Nathan Cromly speak to our students last Friday. Fr. Cromly is a priest of the Brothers of St. John. An internationally-known speaker, retreat leader and educator, he is the founder of the Saint John Institute (https://www.saintjohninstitute.org/). He shared a powerful message of hope and joy, and reminded our students that they are loved. As part of his talk, he shared a little bit about the “Miracle of the Sun” at Fatima.  Read more here:

These miraculous events remind us that God operates in our world, and Fr. Cromly asked our students (and he asks us all) to invite that same God into our hearts!
St. Peter Information Night Thank You
Thank you to the parents, students and faculty who joined us for yesterday’s information night at St. Peter. We are grateful for your time and commitment to Catholic education!
